membership explained

CPD is a continuous process, therefore, the HPCSA requires that registered healthcare practitioners maintain an active balance of 30 or 60 CEU’s (depending on your profession). You must continue to complete the annual required number of clinical and ethics CEU’s to stay compliant every year.

CPD memberships are continuous

To support you in maintaining this, our CPD memberships are continuous and we refresh and provide you with an ALL-INCLUSIVE CPD package every year.

Our CPD package consists of self-study activities, which can be completed in your own time.

Activities are made up of a profession–specific article from an open-source peer-reviewed journal with a multiple-choice questionnaire based on the reading material and answer sheet.

The ALL-INCLUSIVE CPD package

  1. is send to you via your preferred delivery method once a year,
  2. with pre-selected activities relevant to your scope of practise
  3. and is to the value of either 15/30 CEU’s (depending on your profession)
  4. and will include clinical and ethics CEU’s.

In addition to our ALL-INCLUSIVE CPD package we also give assistance with the HPCSA upload process and the upkeep and archive of your CPD activity record.

SELF-STUDY MATERIAL ACTIVITIES

We offer self-study accredited activities, which can be completed in your own time.

 

OPEN-SOURCE PEER REVIEWED JOURNALS

Activities consist of profession – specific reading material from open-source peer reviewed journals with a multiple-choice questionnaire based on the reading material and an answer sheet. To pass you must achieve 70%.

 

CPD ACTIVITY AND CEUS

Each activity is approved for a unique number of CEU’s (points). However, finishing our complete package will provide you with your profession’s annual requirement.

 

HPCSA CPD COMPLIANCE

Upon completion of each activity, we upload such onto the HPCSA’s CPD compliance monitoring system and keep record of all your completed activities.

We can also assist with the process of accreditation for activities in various formats, such as presentations, courses, books, webinars, and articles.
